Are pushchairs allowed on the London Underground? Not only are they allowed, but they are also very common. This can definitely hold its own special set of challenges when you are traveling with a pushchair but as long as you plan ahead and you give yourself plenty of time, you can find a way to deal with the problem without allowing it to derail your plans for the rest of the day.
One thing that will definitely make your travel easier is if you learn how to negotiate pushchairs on escalators sooner rather than later. Even the tubes that have lifts often require you to make use of an escalator. Therefore, you stand a lot better chance of getting wherever you are headed on time if you learn to negotiate that escalator successfully as opposed to trying to find a way to avoid it. The truth is, the idea of negotiating an escalator with a pushchair scares people out of their wits more often than not, but it can be done successfully and it usually only takes one time of doing so to realize that it really isn’t that big of a deal.
